Invitation Sunday - Sunday September 20,2015!

Invite A Friend to Church - Sunday September 20th, 2015!

The joy and faith found at Cameron Community Church in beautiful Kawartha Lakes is too good not to share.
Invite a neighbor, friend, or family member to church on September 20 for Invitation Sunday.
While every Sunday is a good time to invite someone, this global event provides focus and intention to our promise made at baptism to share the good news of the love of God in Jesus Christ.
When you extend an invitation, share why the Cameron Community Church is your church home.

Make Your Guest Feel Especially Welcome

Do you remember the first time you went somewhere new by yourself? Here are some ideas to help your guest feel especially welcome.

  • Commit to providing or arranging a ride for your guest a ride to Church or to meeting them at a specific location.
  • Attend worship with your and provide assistance with the  Bible and hymnal as needed.
  • Introduce them to others and to at least one clergyperson.
  • Send a thank you note afterwards, thanking them for coming to church with you, and invite them to come again.
Invitation Sunday is rooted in the conviction that the Holy Spirit is moving in the lives and hearts of the people you know and that some are prepared to receive and accept an invitation.
Remember, inviting someone is success!
Leave the person’s “yes” or “no” to God.

Celebrate Palm Sunday with The Pavys!

Palm Sunday - March 29 Pavys Bring a Special Guest!

Today Cameron Community Church is blessed to have the Pavy's of  The Lighthouse Ministry in Song, and a luncheon following the service to celebrate March Birthdays. All are welcome.
Cameron Community Church has been blessed with the musical ministry of Roger and Shirley Pavy while Ralph and Beverly have been on a mission trip to Texas.  Roger and his wife Shirley have an excellent music ministry - The Lighthouse Ministry in song, which they share across Canada. this week Roger and Shirley will also be bringing their travelling companion to today's service - a dog!
Rusty is a special breed of dog - he's a puppet! Youngsters and the young at heart enjoy the addition of Rusty and his misunderstanding about the Bible. Children can identify with some of Rusty's difficulties following God's word- especially when it comes to sharing his favourite things.
What misunderstandings might Rusty have a bout Palm Sunday?
We'll see later this morning!
Here is a youtube interview with the Pavy's and Rusty from last year.
Enjoy!
Can you spot Rusty's favourite foods in this youtube interview?
